Healthy Homes compliance statement: fill it in and print it.

A Healthy Homes compliance statement is the signed statement every new, renewed or varied tenancy agreement must include, showing how the rental meets each standard. Fill in the form below, then print it or save it as a PDF, sign it, and attach it to the tenancy agreement.

Covers what Tenancy Services says the statement must include, checked on 23 October 2026 against its compliance statement page, updated 9 September 2026. What you type stays in your browser.

Questions

Compliance statement questions.

A signed statement of how the rental meets each of the five Healthy Homes standards right now: heating, insulation, ventilation, moisture and drainage, and draught stopping, plus any exemption. It goes in every new, renewed or varied tenancy agreement.

Tenancy Services says leaving out the statement when it is required can mean a penalty of up to $500 for each tenancy. Not meeting the standards themselves can mean up to $7,200.

Tenancy Services offers a template and puts the statement in its tenancy agreement templates, but its compliance statement page does not say the template is compulsory. What matters is that the statement has the required information and is signed.

The landlord, or an agent acting as the landlord, such as a property manager. It must be signed even if a professional assessed the home.

The required heating capacity comes from Tenancy Services' Heating Assessment Tool. Our heating calculator then checks that your heaters cover it.

Only in your own browser, so you can come back to it on the same device. Nothing is sent to Latus Property or anyone else.
